Restoration of Degraded Irrigated Lands by Implementing Lucerne and Cotton Crop Rotation, Soil Fertility Improvement, Cotton Fields Yield Enhancement
The aim of the project is to demonstrate the possibility of restoration and sustainable management of degraded irrigated lands through the introduction of alfalfa-cotton crop rotation in the fields of the village of Syrdarya, Koksu.

Project Objectives:
Task 1. Introduction of alfalfa-cotton crop rotation on degraded irrigated lands to restore soil fertility.
Task 2. Implementation of autumn-early spring moisture recharge irrigation on degraded irrigated lands.
Task 3. Organization and implementation of an informational and educational campaign for the restoration of arable landscapes.
Expected results:
As a result of the project, the following results are expected:

5. The introduction of crop rotation on 29.72 hectares of arable land will make it possible to obtain 750 pieces of pressed alfalfa hay from 1 hectare.
6. Alfalfa crop rotation will improve the soil structure, its physical and chemical properties (due to the ability of alfalfa to accumulate nitrogen in the soil, which is necessary for some crops for an abundant crop).
