Improve and support the management of Sulamesi WMA Extension and COmmunity Conservation Awareness at Mt. Bosavi Region
This project is looking at improving the status of the Sulamesi Wildlife Management Area, a gazetted area recognised under law but that has received nil funding from government except through international partnerships. The Protected areas is located in Mt Bosavi region of Nipa Kutubu District. This project is looking into improving the management area, conducting a boundary assessment and looking into extension of the WMA boundary.

Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
Awareness conducted mainly involved use of local language. Whilst posters were created in both English and Tok Pisin, the two commonly spoken languages throughout PNG.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Communications strategy was focused on word of mouth/verbal communication via individuals to disseminate information. Limited posters were published for use and dissemination.
