Addressing the Challenges of Climate Change on Women and Girls in Agriculture
for a project, being Capacity development.The overall essence of this project is to build the capacity of members of the project communities, especially women, to respond to climate change. The organization will roll-out an Eight Months project plan, creating awareness on Climate change impact and effects, building capacity of women to overcome challenges of Climate change and providing improved agricultural training in rice planting. Additionally, it seeks to draw the attention of women on the application of useful mechanism and approaches in dealing with the effect of climate change on agriculture activities.The project is designed to ensure that adequate awareness on the effect and impact of climate change on women involve in agriculture is done.The eight months project attempts to conduct awareness and training in Geipa in Nimba, specifically with women involve in small-holder farming to acquaint them with the challenges of climate change on agriculture activities. The project will hire the services of an expert to conduct training in the community. The knowledge about climate change in Liberia among women is still very low, therefore the project will hold community engagement with local leaders in the community to acquaint them with the impact and effect of climate change on women and of what support they need to be given to adapt to climate change. At the end of eight months, the Challenges of Climate change will be minimize and there will be sustained food security through improved Agriculture practices.

Notable Community Participation
An in-depth consultation has already taken place, with discussions beginning in 2020 with community and stakeholders representative. This proposal has evolved as a direct result of that consultation process and a pre-project development visit which was undertaken from September by the project team
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Knowledge transfer and capacity building based on personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integral aspect of what is planned.
