Capacity - Building Component
Capacity building related to ICCAs' concept and recognition and fire management.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Meeting in the territories to discuss Integrated Fire Management and fire control and fighting 08 meetings (one in each territory); promote dialogue with partner organizations and authorities at the municipal and state levels on traditional practices of integrated fire management; brigade's performance in controlling and fighting fires and fire management, in the territories involved in the project and neighboring territories; weekly visits to the collective areas of the Fechos de Pastos in the 8 enclosures involved in the project; sowing of seeds of native Cerrado plants in springs that are already isolated; confection of firebreaks in all the general perimeters of the 08 territories of Fechos de Pastos and in 04 already isolated springs; expeditions to map fragile areas in the 08 Collective Territories; include the 08 territories in the TÔ NO MAPA application.
