Increase of public awareness about importance of conservation and protection of wild growing bulbous flowers which are endemics of Pamir-Alay mountain system by establishment of environmental museum and nursery in Isfana town
There are 6 species of plants included into the Red Data Book within Leilek and Batken regions. Bulbous flowers (tulips, fritillary, and iris) are under the threat of disappearance because of uncontrolled cattle grazing and excessive gathering of tulips by inhabitants at their flowering time.

The main goal of the project is propaganda of successful experience on Aigul flower conservation and replication of received experience on other bulbous flowers, creation of the first public ecologic-informational center in the Batken rayon.
During the project implementation the following results are expected to be achieved:

Environment Impact
- public ecologic-informational center will attract attention of local people to bulbous flowers conservation problems and it will influence people’s attitude to natural resources

Economy Impact
- in view of successful functioning of the informational center prerequisites will be created for extending lists of services provided to tourists visiting the Leilek rayon
- it is possible that availability of nursery at museum will provoke desire of some inhabitants to be occupied with flower business
Social and Cultural Impact
- creation of the first museum in the country (not only in the Batken oblast) will promote nature protection activity, desire to establish such centers in other regions of the country.
Actions to be undertaken by Public Association “Korum”

1. Conducting seminars and round table.
2. Establishment of environmental museum.
3. Creation of growing plot of Aigul flower included in The Red Book.
4. Conduction of researches on clarification of the reasons of bulbous flowers disappearing.
5. Organization of environmental library and equipment of the museum.
6. Compiling, design, edition and publication of brochures and posters.
7. Information campaign

Several NGOs of Isfana town, locale authorities, employees of Batken University will be involved in project implementation.
The main project activity will take place in Isfana town and villages near by with bulbous flowers habitat.
The expected benefits of the project, including environmental and livelihood benefits

- formation of public opinion directed against activity which leads to disappearance of bulbous flowers
- there will be provided reproduction of flower included into Red Book in ecologic-informational center
- partial self-financing of ecologic-informational center (visitors, services on project application developing for ecological grant programmes, bulbous selling)will allow creation of work places
