Increasing the volume of organic waste processing by climate-friendly technology based on composting and use of different species of bloodworms through marketing research of potential customers in Bishkek city.
In Bishkek city waste collecting is executed by traditional way: getting out to city dump or burning on the place. Both of methods are harmful for environment but nevertheless it is existent practice. NGO “Tazagul” one of a few organization who apply climate-friendly technology of waste processing. Unfortunately, the volume of organic waste processing is insignificant in compare with volume of accumulated waste. The processing products – biohumus is in demand among of limited quantity of customers. But weak customer’s awareness about biohumus quality and producers about customers needs is a barrier for extending production volume.
The main goal of this project is to remove this barrier by carrying out marketing research.
During the project realization the follow results are expected:
Ecological
Creation of prerequisites for the technology using increasing, which reduce greenhouse effect
Economic
-it is possible the volume of selling will increase
Actions to be undertaken by Public Foundation «Taza-Gul»
1. Conducting seminars and round table
2. Making marketing research
3. Developing recommendations to remove barriers
4. Information campaign
About 90 people will participate within the project realization, which lives in territorial communal council # 13
Main activities will be under way in the territorial communal council #13, Pervomay rayon, Bishkek city, Kyrgyzstan
The expected benefits of the project, including environmental and livelihood benefits
Ecological benefit:
- creation of prerequisites for fertilizer production increasing with lesser volume of pollutant
- Raising public awareness about harmfulness of waste burning for local and global environment
- it is possible creation of interest for using new technologies on the garden plot

- intimate knowledge of market
- customers quantity increasing who oriented on products with lesser pollutant
