GEF SGP Trinidad and Tobago is happy to report a very successful opening of their Green Wave Initiative. They are partnering with 3 local organizations in different areas of the country in order to get the widest reach possible.

A press conference was held on 23rd April in the UN House and was well attended by the national media. The story got fantastic news coverage on the radio and main television news headlines and on 24th April they featured on the 2nd page of a national newspaper.

The groups are working with both schools and youth groups and the NSC has also devised a communications strategy to aid the collaboration of all the groups on the actual Green Wave day (22nd May).
