To complement discussions taking place during the 75th UN General Assembly, UNDP and partners are creating a four-day Nature for Life Hub a virtual space where global leaders will share stories on the importance of nature for sustainable development. The Hub is designed to build momentum to respond successfully to the planetary and climate crisis we face. We must design “the future we want” through an all-of-society approach focused on regenerative and nature-positive economic models that help protect, restore and sustainably manage nature for people, planet and prosperity
Running a total of seventeen sessions on 24-25 and 28-29 September 2020, the virtual hub will take audiences on thematic journeys, delving deep into specialist topics, practical solutions and ambitious actions. It will be a unique opportunity to hear from political and corporate leaders, the world’s youth, indigenous and community leaders, local leaders, and cutting-edge thinkers. Each day will culminate in key messages to be issued by the coalition of partners to be fed into the negotiation processes for the CBD COP15 post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework and Climate COP26.
