Capacity Building on Land Degradation
The project is a planning grant for the Kilome Division UNDP-GEF/SGP Land Degradation Cluster. It serves the following purpose:
To carry out a feasibility study for the projects. This will include but not be limited to:
1. Establish the engineering requirements such as site, suitability, sizes, structural designs and stability of the dams and gabions
2. To establish the socio-economic frameworks for each project especially where there will be need for resource sharing (e.g. dam water, solar pumps among others)
3. To review and revise the Bill of Quantities for the constructions of the check dams, weirs and gabions
4. To develop the frameworks and guidelines for legal administration and community partnerships
