Enhacement of the Traditional Ovens in Minia
This project aimed to convince rural women in Al Dawadia village, Minia Governorate, to use environmentally sound Egyptian bread ovens by showing them that the bread burns to a lesser degree, and is relatively cleaner. The use of cleaner ovens will cause reduction in greenhouse gases, as well as the reduction of pulmonary, and eye diseases, especially for women and children in the village. The project succeeded in installing 300 ovens in rural houses.
