This project succeeded in installing 400 developed cooking stoves in five different poor villages in Minia.. This project objectives were to raise beneficiaries awareness on the importance of using clean ovens, and to decrease greenhouse gas emissions resulting from burning agricultural and animal wastes used in traditional ovens.. .

Project sustainability
- Creating job opportunities for young people in the construction and maintenance of those developed ovens.
- Creating job opportunities for young women making home bread and selling it to increase the family income.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
- Establishing and modifying existing traditional ovens prevents burning traditional fuel, such as firewood, different agricultural wastes, as well as dried animal wastes, which cause several respiratory, ophthalmic and eye diseases, especially for women and children, and also pollute the surrounding environment with toxic smoke.
