Factual book on Water Pollution for Junior schools and Teachers
Factual book on Water Pollution for Junior schools and Teachers
Following the successful completion and launch of the SIDA funded IGCSE publication on Water Pollution in 1999, the Wetlands Working Group have embarked on another project of the same nature but this time intended for Junior Secondary Learners and their teachers. This project seeks to produce 10 000 copies for Junior Secondary Schools countrywide with the official launch envisioned for World Water Day, 22 March 2007.

SIDA provided funds amounting to N$ 45 691 towards the implementation of this project with monies that remained as surplus in the project coffers following the completion of the IGCSE book project and an additional amount of N$ 165 000 (U$ 27 500) is required to finalize the project.

This project will be a National project with books distributed to Junior Secondary Schools countrywide. Books will also be made available at identified libraries and all the line Ministries regional centers as well as at all other participating NGOs.

The Wetlands Working Group of Namibia is a scientific working group co-chaired by aquatic scientists, Shirley Bethune and Ndina Nashipili.
