Reducing Chemical use in Bait Lahia farming community through applying IPM
a project on promoting environmentally-sound agricultural practices in Strawberry farming at Beit Lahia. The project contributes to promoting sustainable agriculture practices through reducing the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers in Strawberry farming and applying integrated pests management concept. It also contributes to increasing the awareness of local communities, NGOs/CBOs, especially Strawberry?s Farmers community on the adverse impact of overusing chemical pesticides. The project rovides training for about 150 Farmers on sustainable agriculture practices through applying integrated pest management in agriculture production. Throughout the project a guiding manual on applying integrated pest management in Strawberry farming will be produced, five demonstration projects plemented and more than 150 farmers will be trained to practice sustainable agriculture practices.
