a project on developing an environmental-sound traffic management and transportation modality in Rafah Governorate. The project contributes to promoting for shifting to less polluting in central Rafah. It also contribute to increasing awareness of the local communities, NGOs/CBOs, and government to monitor the ground transport emissions and its impact on public health. It also address problems related to traffic system in the main centers of Rafah Governorate and how to mitigate adverse impact. New environmental sound traffic management plan is developed and implemented which lead to reduce fuel consumption and consequently ground transport emissions in Rafah.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
? Conducting workshops for different purposes as follows:
- 1st workshop, introductory workshop to inform the municipalities, organizations, community representatives about the project objectives and components.
- 2nd workshop, evaluation of the Draft Plan to present the draft plan and its related recommendations and conclusions.
- 3rd workshop final workshop to present the main finding and recommendations and to market the proposed projects
? Conducting awareness campaign to the local community. Brochures, case studies, concentrated instructions, signboards, flash and PowerPoint presentations were used to facilitate the discussion
Policy Influence
? Other municipalities (like Khan Younis) presented the willingness to prepare a similar plan for Khan Younis Governorate which will increase the positive impacts of Rafah Transportation Impacts
