Using solar system for water provision-Al-Yaman Village, Kamaran Island
The project will enable community of Al-Yaman Village to install a solar water pumping system to provide water from a well located 5 km from thier village located at Sea shore. The project will allow commuinty to participate in projects activites throiugh their labour work in digging the well, building the ttanks and installing water conveyance system.
The project will allow community to establish a revolving fund, based on benefitieries monthly subscription fees which will ensure project sustainability.
The project will provide training for 6 community and NGO members to build up their capacity in project management and revolving fund administration.
The project includes two workshops for men and women to raise awareness of the importance of water and environment including the use of renewable energy.
