Amahk Beach is located 20 km north of Bedhola Village (N12.34480 E 54.02083). The beach consists of sand dunes intracted with date palm trees forming a half moon shape. The sand is extened some distance into the Sea that makes it of extra natural beauty attractive to tourists. The community proposed to provide some services to eco-tourists in exchange for income generation for communiyty benefit from providing shelters, food, goods and Guidance.
The Socotra Eco-tourism Society based in Hadibu (with capacity) in collaboration with Al-Mostakbal Fishing Cooperative Society (local) developed a set of activities that ensure the sustainable mamangement of the site, provision of quality services to tourists and building the capacity of local community for taking over the mamangement of the site.
The SGP fund will be used to provide a solar lighting and water pumping and heating and capacity building through training of 10 community members in relevant skills to eco-tourism. TThese include hospitality, General relation, First aid, Field Guides, etc.
