Rural Women in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources
The proponent used Pilot Phase projects and other experiences to train women NGOs in Irbid governorate on sound management of natural resources and integrate environmental considerations in their field of interests.
Rural women NGOs were the main participants in this project. They were involved at the beginning stages of planning and during implementation. Training activities conducted by the project emphasized local and global environmental issues. Universitites in the area provided part of the technical assistance for these activities.
The project also enhance the capacities of the Women Federation (proponent) in project management.
