Project Proposal for the Decrease of the Diffuse Water Pollution Sources, through the Promotion and Implementation of the Best Agricultural Techniques ? PRO-APE
The project proposal ?PRO ? APE? aims to contribute to the reduction of water pollution especially to the reduction of the difuse organic pollution in the Prut Basin throught promotion of the Best Agricultural practices, implementation of concrete demonstrative measures and thus empowering the community to take concrete measures. The project activities consist in awareness raising campaigns (exhibition and meetings), training on Best Agricultural Practices (BAP), implementation of the BAP in a demonstrative garden and building a model composting platform.

Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
All the public meetings and awareness raising events will present the link between the local lifestyle and the pollution of the International Waters especially the Prut and Danube rivers and the Black Sea. Another global topic approached will be the air pollution and the global warming.
Project sustainability
The Good Agricultural Practices disseminated within the project will be applied by the local farmers. The operation of the waste composting platform was assumed by the local farmers was The project website will be continuously updated by the Ecological Consulting Center Galati, disseminating the Good Agricultural Practices and the local experience.
