Dissemination of the graphic version of the Forest Law of Guatemala No. 101-96, in the mayan Mam language in the provinces of San Marcos and Quetzaltenango, Guatemala
The project consists of translating the Forest Law of Guatemala 101-96 into the mayan Mam language.
There will be an education module, supported by an educational flip chart of the Forest Law, that will be given in the mayan Mam language to local authorities based at community and municipal levels.
Experiences and lessons learned will be disseminated.
The project will strengthen the Environmental Law system of Guatemala by raising awareness of the Forest Law and its implications in indigenous regions of the provinces of San Marcos and Quetzaltenango.
