Conservation of biodiversity the Kutmankol lake ecosystem situated on the territory of Shaidan village by informing local citizens and improving conditions for pilgrims.
The project of the NGO "Kutmankol" is going to be implemented in the area along the saint lake Kutmankol that has religious importatnce to the pilgrims that visit this lake. Due to the lack of awareness about the ecological damage that they cause during their visit to the environment of the lake the condition of the nearby area has been not one of the best. The trees has been cut for wood and the overall area was polluted. The conditions of the pilgrims is very poor. The live in not sanitary conditions and the lake and its environment is hurt by their activities. The NGO has outlined major problems and solutions which are: increasing the awareness about the ecological problems among pilgrim society. Improve the pilgrims' condiions. All of the abovementioned actions are going to be achieved through following activities: plantation of saplings to increase the amount of trees, organizing ecological guard. Establishing public toilets and yorts, tents and prefabricated houses. Also the souvenir factory. The project is going to have a wide information campaign.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The population has attached its attention to the preservation of the lake and improving the conditions for pilgrims and this will also improve their livelihoods because there is going to be less harm to the ecology and people during the course of the project are going to learn about the alternative energy resources and about the importance of preserving this area.
Capacity - Building Component
The population is going to assist in preserving the saint lake and at the same time learn about the benefits of preserving the trees. The project activities are going to decrease the tree cut down and educate people about the alternative energy resources.
