Reducing the pressure on environment by developing ecotourism and implementing the solar collectors in Chon Karabuura village.
The environmental problem that occurs in this area is mainly due to the economic instability and poverty. The energy supply is cut off constantly, especially during winter time. The local population to make its living has to cut the trees from the nearby forests, which overtime has negativvely effected the overall environment of this area. The Altyn Alkak CBO staff decided to implement the solar collectors. They have identified this type of renewable and ecologicaly safe energy sourse the most cost efficient. First of all the local population has to be informed about the new energy supply sourse. This is going to be achieved by conducting round tables, organizing seminars. The CBO is going to purchase the solar collectors and establish them. The CBO by its own means going to educate the local population the professional skills in solar collector utilization. This project has also receive the TACIS support. TACIS programme support the development of ecotourism therefore, to improve the condition of people in this area ecotourism is going to be developed. In the course of the project the guest houses are going to be improved and rehabilitated. Agitation boards are going to be established and the activities of the project are going to be supported with information campaign.
