Restoring Soil Fertility through soil solarization in Rafah Rural Area
A project on restoring soil fertility through soil solarization in Eastern Rafah. The project will contribute to overcoming the remarkable degradation of the agricultural soil fertility due the excessive use of chemical pesticides. It will also enhance farmers? capacities to apply biodiversity safe techniques such as soil solarization through organizing training for 190 farmers who own greenhouses in eastern Rafah in the South of Gaza. In collaboration with the local community committees, 190 nylon rolls for solarization will be distributed to 190 farmers. Ultimately, the project will contribute to reducing the production costs, increasing farmers? income, ensuring safe products, and restoring soil fertility.
