Sustainable Community-based Coastal Resource Management Project
The project envisions the rehabilitation, preservation, sustainable development and management of coastal biodiversity and fishery resources. Communities are expected to practice sustainable and responsible fishery management, and working together towards sustainable fishery management.

The project aims to develop and support opportunities for the community?s economic wellbeing in Stung Hav through supporting alternative income generation projects such as fish cage aquaculture, animal husbandry, handicraft production, etc. while ensuring that the environmental integrity is not adversely impacted.
Project Obojective:
1. Rehabilitated of 0,76 ha fresh water reservoir to benefit 200 families for using water for use and watering their crops.
2. Rehabilitation and managing costal natural resources sustainably.
3. Improving community livelihood through organizing women saving groups and introducing other option for livelihood.
Project Outputs/outcome:
1.1 20 ha of mangrove tree were planted and 322 ha of existing mangrove trees were protected.
1.2 3.7 ha of Sea grass were conserved and protected.
1.3 Increased of Costal natural resources Khan Stung Hav such as mangrove tree, fish, snall? etc up to 25-30% .
1.4 Increased community income through increased fish catch from 5-7 kg to 7-10 kg per day per person.
1.5 200-300 of poor families and women headed household have received benefit fron participating in growing and conserving managrove trees.
1.6 Local community agreed and have strong solidarity in protection, conservation and benefiting from coastal natutal resources conservation project.
1.7 On time stopping illegal fishing, because of having good cooperation between community fisheries and stakehloders .
1.8 Fishing areas were alocated according to fishing gears led to reduce fisheries conflect by 20-30%.
2.1 0,76 ha of fresh water reservoir have been repared and 200 families used water for watering their crops and raising animals.
2.2 Community can use the resavoir for fish raising and earn money for community fund.
2.3 Resavior used regulation and inside rules were in placed for implementation.
3.1 At least 210 members of saving group have increase their income thruogh accessing to group fund for their income generation activities.
3.2 Saving group fund have increased at least 70% of fund the fund received from project.
3.3 20 community members laernt how to grow mushroom and received revolving fund for growing mushroom to improve their livelihood.

Gender Focus
200-300 of poor families and women headed household have received benefit fron participating in growing and conserving managrove trees and organized themselves in Women Self-Help Group and revoving fund.
Notable Community Participation
As this project is manage by the Coastal Community Fisheries committee, around 80% of the villagers are member of community fisheries and take active part in all project implementaion activities, learnt and share experiences amount themselves and other involved stakeholders. Local community agreed and have strong solidarity in protection, conservation and benefiting from coastal natutal resources conservation project.
