Initiating Process of Revival of the Life and Livelihood Through Biodiversity of Jaisamand Catchment area
The overall goal of the project is to initiate custer approach with mulit-stakeholder in integrated approach of resource management (land and biodiversity) so as to sustain life and livelihood in catchments of Jaisamand.
Purpose/Objective of the project:
Objective is to centralze approach of multi-stakeholder operation with cluster level action plan on "Empowering community with resource management knowledge and skills for integrated area development approach to strengthen their livelihood" using appropriate technologies and vegetation based diversity with agro-herbs cultivation on unutilized and under utilized land to increase productivity of terrain in the Southern Aravalli Hills. The project will work on specific objectives of:
1) Developing specific projects which can give way to Land Management enhancement.
2) To help NGOs and CBOs develop project to take up gap area in a macro watershed approach and developing good project proposals in the catchment area.
a) Develop programs for increasing Biodiversity of the Jaisamand Catchments and lakes.
b) To develop action plan to revive the local species of fodder and forest trees.
c) To develop propsoal promote diverse cropping pattern.
d) To prepare action plan for environment awareness and education among the children of the Jaisamand catchments area.
3) Demonstrate effectiveness of participatory planning in different initiative recorded through the earlier SGP project in the area.
4) Capacity building of the people of the adjacent villages for the replication of the process for environment conservation and regenration.

Notable Community Participation
The major thrust of the conceived project is involving communities to develop and propagate simple low cost technologies to sustained productivity of resource base of the rural community in the Jaisamand Catchments Region. The project shall be on development of sustainable land management project. The main thrust will be to accommodate people?s technologies that give a feel of ownership. In developing these proposals participation of community in the process it self will be a large contribution in kind.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The process of participatory project planning is planned to be tested with small NGOS and including some of the area specific and suitable technology for the agro-climatic conditions of the area and low cost replicable techniques with community initiatives. Steps are planned to create awareness and mobilize community and resources for other stakeholders. The Promotion campaign for planned efforts will be shared for systematic propagation it is expected to be taken-up NGOs and CBOs at a large scale in the area.
