Protecion of a Vulnerable Forestland through Grassrotts Community Participation
The project involves awareness creation and state/community partnership; formation of community central management committee, formation of byelaws to govern the community activities; establishment of livelihood programs for bee keeping; arrange central seedling nursery for productions of various seedlings of indigenous and fruit trees, coffee and forages; GIS mapping to identify the flora and fauna of the forest including threatened species; and eco tourism to carry out rehabilitation works in the forest through training.
