ROP: Restoration of Traditional Assets and Removal of Invasive Plants and Trash to Protect Wetlands and Water Sources in Ngeraus Village, Palau.
This project is focused on water resources in the Ngeraus village in Ngchesar State of palau. The community is linking restoration of water resources (particularly, two main water resources in the village) with restoration of their traditional assets (stone paths and traditional structures). The water resources, which had been traditionally critical for village survival, have been neglected in the past due to availability of the public system. The village wish to restore these assets to revive importance of such local resources.

Both men and women are participating in the project under the traditional system.
Notable Community Participation
Project is led by the traditional leaders of the community in a rural village in Palau and villagers are fully participating in activiteis to restore the traditional assets and restore watershed areas to enable water resource to run freely to support the taro patches for some members of the community.
