One of the Pravirsulio wetland irrigation canals will be dammed up by the community eforts with consultation by the hidrologues. 21 milk cattle and 5 horses of traditional Lithuanian strains will be purchased and it is expected that local farmers will feed around 40-50 units of livestock in the wetland by the end of the project.
It is planned that project will introduce application of the nature management measures in 320 ha of the wetland meadows. The level of Pravirsulio wetland will reaise up to 10 cm. The wetland species preserved: Liparis loeselii, Saxifraga hirculus, Orchis mascula, Dactylorhiza incarnata, etc. The project will create about 26 000 LTL (about 10 000 USD) of incomes for 50-60 families in 5 year period.
