The objective of the Project is to preserve the species of white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) under global protection and increase its population in Lithuania through the increase of community involvement in the preservation of rare species.
The tasks of work are the raise of number of breeding pairs of white-tailed eagle; creation an observation network to monitor the population; the awareness raise of the local public and the promotion of the management of nature protection.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
During the Project implementation, the members of local communities will be educated by introducing to them the endangered species of eagle populating in their vicinity (show how the bird looks, train people to recognize it, inform society about eagles living in the surrounding area and discuss problems and their solutions).
Project sustainability
The collected material on the white-tailed eagle, its biology, population distribution, threats and conservation measures will be published. A photo exhibition under the title ?Preservation of white-tailed eagle in Lithuania? will be organised.
