I. AIM OF THE PROJECT

The Project aims at raising awareness, networking, reviewing policies and disseminating information in the area of climate change and renewable energy among all concerned bodies.


II. OBJECTIVES

The Project objectives are to:
? Networking, discussion of policies and dissemination of information concerning climate change
? Contribute in raising cooperation among different bodies working in the filed of environment
? Contribute in raising awareness on sustainable means of transport and renewable energy
? Contribute in increasing the use of renewable energy


III. ACTIVITIES

1. Literature review and data collection related to climate change and renewable energy
2. Seek legal consultancies from experts in order to assess legal needs and evaluate laws
3. Prepare and conduct 6 workshops for bodies concerned in climate change and renewable energy
The workshops will focus on:
? informing participants on major concepts and theories concerning policies on climate change
? capacity building of participants
? increasing participants? knowledge concerning the climate change program and renewable energy
? Exchanging information and expertise concerning the issues of climate change, development and social change.
4. Organize a series of meetings in order to set standards of work and plan of action
5. Present to the government a list of recommendations and draft of a recommended strategy on renewable energy
