Cedar forest planting project in Douma village
I. AIM OF THE PROJECT

The aim of the Project is to do reforestation (800 cedar trees) of 50 dunum located on a sloppy area in the upper site of Douma village. Douma is located at 1500-1600 meters above sea level. This area is protected from grazing by a ministerial decision. It is located on the historical natural cedar forest line.

II. OBJECTIVES

The Project objectives are to:
? increase green spaces
? prevent land erosion
? contribute in reducing climate change

III. ACTIVITIES

? purchase and transport seedlings
? Plant seedlings
? Provide irrigation water for the seedlings
? Maintain the site and follow-up on the maintenance process
? Put signs
? Prune plants
? Provide protection

IV. BENEFICIARIES

The beneficiaries will be the inhabitants of Douma village.

V. EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS/BENEFITS

Expected achievements from this Project are:
1. Provision of a green space
2. Contribute to climate change
