The products of bee keeping (honey, bees wax and polipolis), together with the fruits and timber from trees, contribute to improved livelihoods and incomes of the project beneficiaries. Mainly, the project focuses on promoting the conservation of local honey bees in order to enhance their contribution to food security through crop pollination and improved livelihoods through modern honey production

The project also caters for activities including awareness and capacity building in modern bee keeping practices. The project also assists the communities to acquire modern bee hives and honey harvesting equipment. Technical personnel from the district, department of entomology assist in training and advisory services.

The project engages all members of the community, men, women, youth PWD etc but targets women as the direct beneficiaries of the bee products.
