Gender Focus
. The community members will be trained in the importance of sorting and categorizing the garbage before disposal. The community has identified this activity for improving hygiene and sanitation as expressed by Ms. Sylivia Kyomugisha and Ms. Fausta Nabanjja, of Kigungu and Ms. Kabahuma Zaituni of Kitubulu. In addition, women groups during the participatory planning meetings in Kigungu and Kitubulu landing sites supported this initiative. They have promised to take a lead responsibility in ensuring proper garbage disposal.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
People captured in training and awareness meetings are members of the local communities. They shall uphold the needs and thoughts that the project onwardly implements.
