BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION AND POVERTY REDUCTION
The project aims at consolidating the achievements of phase I of the project and also widening the scope of both community and environmental benefits by replicating the successful project interventions that seek to maintains the positive traditional and cultural aspects that are beneficial to bio-diversity conservation in order to achieve a balance between biodiversity conservation and increasing agricultural outputs and incomes of farmers and thus reducing poverty through conserving the endangered species, increasing environmental awareness, promoting rain water catchments and sustainable harvesting of indigenous tree species for fire wood and timber.
