Project sustainability
Community based self-support mechanism (?project sustainability account?) will be established. The modest funds will be used to sustain project activities. The farmers obliged themselves to continue extensive management of the meadows 5 years after the project ends.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Economic needs of Beizonys community will be met through introduction of the environmentally sound grazing and management of the natural meadows (following scientific recommendations and protection of the genetic pool of local agricultural breeds (cattle and sheep). The project aims also to integrate children living in children care house (with about 30 children from socially vulnerable families living there) into community activities. Children will get social skills as well as working skills through working in small education farm.
