Raising awareness and building capacity of 100 farmers on reduction of agrochemical in urban agriculture practices in Qalqilia city in the West Bank
A project on building the capacity of 100 farmers in Qalqilia city on agro-biodiversity conservation and technical issues related to urban agricultural practices. It will facilitate establishing a new networking to support urban agriculture practices in Qalqilia. It is expected that more than 5 active related NGO will participate in this imitative. The project will contribute to improving living conditions for 100 farmers through providing them with environmentally- sound techniques and skills related to agro-biodiversity practices in urban areas. It will also contribute to minimizing the usage of agro-biodiversity practices in urban areas. It will also contribute to minimizing the usage of agro-chemicals in urban agricultural practices in the project area through promoting environmentally-sound techniques. For this purpose the project beneficiaries will be supported by necessary tools and organic-based material to promote organic agriculture in urban areas.
