The project seeks to revitalize the village community of Maltahoe through biodiversity conservation and community-based tourism, thus improving the socio-economic status of the communities? residents. The objective is to establish and manage a nature park along with community-based tourism enterprises such as traditional villages and craft centers. The facilitation of marketing community products by the project helps to promote income generation and self-employment within the community.

The project is located in the village of malthohoe which is approximately 113km west of Mariental bordering the Namib desert.
