Argalant - Tiny grove
Argalant - Tiny grove
Desertification is being intensified over most of Mongolia by many factors like sand shifts, rapid increase of mice and pasture land degradation. Due to desertification grasses are covered by sand and the steppe stays without anything to eat for livestock. The community based project ?Tiny green grove? was established to plant fruit trees and establish a field protecting forest belt in order to mitigate land degradation, recover grassland and support surrounding eco-system in the area Khushuut bag, Argalant soum of Tuv province, which is 5 kilometer away from the north side the main road that comes from Ulaanbaatar city.
