Development and Sustainable Use of Cerrado Fruit
Development and Sustainable Use of Cerrado Fruit
This project proposes sustainable use of Cerrado fruits, particularly pequi, as not only a form of occupation but also a source of income for the population of the Japonvar municipality, which, due to a lack of economic alternatives, tends to destroy Cerrado for production of charcoal. This project will enable families to increase their income and re-populate the biome with native fruits, further increasing their income.
