ROP: Hatohobei State Youth Dune Restoration Program
This project is targeting an atoll in Palau that is experiencing erosion of the primary sand dunes system. The activities will involve piloting a nursery for coastal plants that can be used for sand dunes and coastal/atoll stabilization. Elders will be involved in engaging the youth to plant and undertake other activities that contribute to restoration of the coastal area. A technical coastal expert is also involved to provide the modern approach.
