Institutional Strengthening and Physical Infra-Structure for the Cerrado Production, Reserch and Capacity – Building Center in Defense of Susteinable Livelihoods in the Cerrado
Institutional Strengthening and Physical Infra-Structure for the Cerrado Production, Reserch and Capacity – Building Center in Defense of Susteinable Livelihoods in the Cerrado
This project seeks to solve the main socioenvironmental problem faced by many Cerrado populations: loss of family farming income from natural Cerrado resources, by means of institutional strengthening and expansion of productive infra-structure in the settlement. CEPPEC has already received SGP Brazil support, but due to a lack of infra-structure, acquisition of raw materials has not reached its potential, thus not making due contributions to groups and failing to mobilize them for adequate and planned production enabling scale gains. The objective of the project is broadening the CEPPEC production base to strengthen and replicate Cerrado biodiversity handicraft production
