Descrição do projeto: The municipality of Carolina has poor health care and education services in the village of Solta (60 km from the municipal seat). There is no health care center and schools do not go beyond fourth grade. The region of Carolina is under rapid expansion of large scale agriculture, mainly soy plantations, and part of the municipality is threatened by construction of the Estreito hydroelectric power plant, in beginning stages of construction, which will flood much of the municipality.
This porject is aimed at increasing income for inhabitants of the Solta village and strengthen the Association. Both objectives will be reached by means of construction of a pre-processing unit for Cerrado fruits and of a central office for the Association. New partnerships have also contributed to a strengthened Association
