Preservation of natural coastal ecosystem in the northern side of the biosphere zone of the Issykkul lake, near Choktal village, which is a habitat of migrant birds through organization of protected zones, planting bush vegetation and providing alternative economical activity for local residents.
Due to the intensive utilization of this area the local environment has been significantly damaged. The local population has cut the bushes of sea-buckthorn for energy supply. The local fish and birds are being destroyed. The ecological balance of the nearest area is damaged. The NGO by involving local authorities and community decided to preserve this area because if the irrational use of ecology continues it might cause subtancial damage. The NGO is planning to make an inventory of the local flora and fauna to systematicaly preserve it. The nurseries are going to be organized and saplings are going to be planted with the help of local population. Also ecological guards are going to be organized to sustainably preserve the area. The territory of main concern is going to be fenced and guarded. Bush vegetation will be planted. Also the NGO members understand the importance of increasing awareness of people by information campaign and various seminars and round tables.
