Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Agriculture in 70 villages of Bhimtal and Betalghat Blocks and land issue based advocacy in the whole Uttaranchal State
The objective of the project is to sensitize local community regarding climate change vulnerability, natural resource management, sustainable agriculture and water resource management. The local communities will be facilitated in identifying and use of traditional knowledge, practice and applications for the water resource management and sustainable agriculture.

Women will be organized for reducing drudgery and enhancing the role of women in promotion of rainwater harvesting, land management and sustainable agriculture. Renewable energy resources such as bio gas plants and energy plantation will be promoted to reduce the stress on the forest resource. Groun water and soil moisture recharge will be done through promotion of rainwater harvesting practices.

Project Characteristics and Results
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
District Rural development Authority has its mandate to strengthen the local governance. In context of it they are doing effort and observed organization work. They felt that organization has good reach among the villagers, therefore project has awarded to the Organization, which has also helped the project in strengthening their farmer groups. As organization was involved in working for women therefore they have got funding from IGSS
Project sustainability
For the sustainability of the project Sanghatan and Group would be formed at cluster level and they would be responsible for the sustainability of the project in the future. Project would address Capacity enhancement measures of the members of women and VEDC groups. After completion of the project an account from the contribution of villagers would be open in the village for the renovation work.
