Organic vegetable garden and crops and medicinal plants
Organic vegetable garden and crops and medicinal plants
The problem is that we have very poor soil on our lands, which has caused difficulty in planting food. The land is dry, and during drought season the soil is highly degraded. On the other hand, rainy season also can be a big problem, as it can destroy most crops grown. The major problem we face is poor soil quality for planting, and these problems could be attributed to many reasons;

Such as 1) land degradation over the years from use of pesticide chemicals for farming
2) Impact of land clearance for subsistence agriculture has resulted in soil salinity and poor quality
3) The lack of sound knowledge on proper land management techniques and methods to use in rehabilitation of fallow land.

The project will cover the following objectives;

Specific objective: This project aim to phase-out the use of pesticides within the village of Samauga and promote the consumption of nutritional food for healthy family development.

Objective:
1. The project will expand into planting other green vegetables such as; lau pele, round cabbage, green peas, water melons, cucumbers, green pepper, vanilla, chilli and fruit trees and at the same time plant yams and medicinal plants of traditional healers;
