The aerial survey on the threats on the natural forest of Mount Kilimanjaro ecosystem indicates that the rate of tree cutting in the natural forest and the half milestrip area is alarming. With reference from this report Rombo district througth a CBO called KEDA Rombo has proposed to undertake tree planting and watersheds, halfmile strip area in Rombo and on community farms.
The project target to improve the availability of forest products to the communities and also to enhanced community participation in forest conservation activities.
