Tree planting at the half-mile strip area of Ruwa.
Tree planting at the half-mile strip area of Ruwa.
The half mile strip area in Ruwa has a U-shape and thus it receives tree extraction pressure from all its sides from villages around it. Among those villages Ruwa has increased extraction of forest products in area without re- planting hence created bare space on the half mile strip area.
Maua Seminary together with the communities in Ruwa village have proposed tree planting project to support their innitiative in tree planting as they had already planted 1200 trees.
This proposed project will contribute and enable the community together with Maua Seminary to plant about 10,000 trees on the same area. This project will plant tree in more than 25acres of the bare area in the half mile strip area.
