This activity is a follow up project of the partner's workshop for video participatory with GEF SGP network and RAGAM in Bali, July 2006, to increase the capacity of local NGO or organization in knowledge management especially through video documentation, an intermediary media workshop for organization who already managed a video documentation or documentation with video camera. Some of the partner such as Ngata Toro have already done their own documentation on ther activities post-workshop of video participatory and replicate the activity in other area or have been familiar with the video documentation as a tool to reach the policymaker/stakeholders and also reporting for their activities in relation to the natural resource matter and benefit for the community.

Ecological Threat:
Lack of grantees capacity, in different region to documentate and gather lesson-learned in the video participatory production.

Goals: as a real way in opening knowledge management for GEF SGP partners and the video community network in audiovisual documentation in a proper and systematical way, especially to collect the experience of the community in facing their ecological challenge.

Specific Objective
To produce a book on video community training and distribute participatory training result modul, of the lesson-learned on the training to support the increasing skill of the GEF SGP partners in producing their own report and as a local community empowerment tools.

Activities
1. Preparation
2. Producing of Participatory Video Manual Book/Modul (with comic/drawings) and with video explanation CD/guidance CD rom attach
3. Dissemination or Distribution of the book

Materials in the CD:

1. VCD: sample of film as paralel explanation on the modul
2. Examples of: composition, angle, lighting, color, and other technical terms in the modul
3. Modul important explanation in Power Point. Will be use by facilitator in guiding the modul training.
4. Open Source Software Editing.


Expected Output:
- The manual book for video participatory
- Distribution of the books for GEF SGP partners that works on the program especially the Video Community network
- Technical Report and finance report


Beneficiaries: members of the video community network and GEF SGP network on video participatory
