Development of PKM MicroHydro Replication in South Mojokerto
Ecological Threat:
Sendi Village is one of the village within Pacet Sub District, which faced serious quality degradation, due to illegal-logging by irresponsible actors. Following this, the village actively initiate replanting the forest with community contribution. The community will signed commitment to set up the microhydro infrastructure. PKM Seloliman will support and facilitate the infrastructure development in several points within South Mojokerto, with their experiences in previous project.
Goal:
To push further lesson-learned between community based organization in managing their natural resource within the learning process and initiating renewable energy as a part of the contribution.
Aims/objectives:
[1] To initiate pioneer organization from community (replication of PKM Seloliman) which able to manage the microhydro,
[2] to push more working opportunity for the forest-side community,
[3] optimize the watershed protection area in South Mojokerto, as the catchment area for each microhydro developed
Activities:
[1] to analize macro-potential and community needs,
[2] capacity building (management)/organization training for the PLTM Wot Lemah, workshop on bussiness management,
[3] facilitating on community group capacity building,
[4] development of microhydro PLTM Wot Lemah Seloliman and PLTM Sendi Pacet (all infrastructure and supporting system),
[5] monitoring and evaluation
Expected results
[1] Lesson-learned between the community organization in renewable energy adaptation management,
[2] Emerging of new organization which capable on managing the microhydro management professionally,
[3] To provice job opportunity for poor forest community,
[4] Existing collective awareness of the community on the natural resource issue
