Conservation of the Watershed of the Gaddadehi Attha Reservoir by Sri Lanka Samaja Sanwardana Pushthakala Ayathanaya
This project will introduce soil conservation methods to the area, educating the community on soil conservation laws and proper management of the watershed in the area. Currently there is an insufficient irrigational infrastructure in the area. The project intends to activate an effect land management system and better agricultural methodology in relations to the highlands.

SLSSPA will train 332 families, making them aware of sustainable land management and on how to conserve local natural resources. The grantee organization will also encourage organic farming to further minimize land mismanagement.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Awarenes Programme included in the Project Contains material on global environment. Audio visual presentations are used in passing the necessary information and data towards the target community in this regard.
Capacity - Building Component
The awareness building on the relevant issues and practical training on the steps to be followed and practiced for the purpose of avoiding bad practices which may cause soil degradation and on organic farming.
