REHABILITATION OF OLKOLILI VILLAGE IN HAI DISTRICT.
Olkolili village is situated in Hai District near Kilimanjaro International Aitport in an area which is very dry. The area is occupied by pastoralist and has very strong winds, the area is also affected by wind soil erosion. The village experience strong wind destructions where by roof of schools and houses are frequent taken away by wind.
The main objective of this project is to conserve the area througth tree planting.The project will plant indigenous tree as well as other trees. The project expect the planted trees will reduce the effect of strong winds and wind soil erosion.
The project will conduct seminar on environmental conservation to the pastoralist so that the planted trees will not be destroyed by cattles.
